The Mothercat

Our Grandma’s home is in the village, there was a female cat, a white colored with gray patches, and she delivered minimum three to four kittens on every season. On school vacations, we used to visit grandma’s home to spend our vacation. when she knows we arrived she will hide her kittens away from us, but we know where they are. They will be in the gap of rice sacks or beneath the big wooden grain container .We bring them to the main hall and try to play with small bolls and sticks. When we roll the ball they ran behind to catch it and some time they fight each other. Some time we get some scratches from their claws. When the mother cat came back after her routine rounding, she came to know that her kittens were hijacked; she split the house in to two. She ran through the house ,crying here and there Then our grandma will come to help her. She shouts “Put back the kittens”, we know that grandma is always on her side. The mother cat will catch their neck without harming them and take away one by one. After they, grown-up she will quarrel with them and force to go from there. That time I didn’t understand why she is doing this and we expressed our hatred on her without giving food. After a long time my father said that you should find money for your own food .That time I understood the mother cat's dilemma.
